There are no new mechanics you’re just introducing new obstacles and learning how they react to you. this games gimmick is that you’re a candle but the catch is every level is dark and you’re given ten lives to beat each level. however to make it a little more challenging than just having to not die from platforming you only have ten seconds worth of light per life so you’ll be flickering your flame on and off to get the lay of the land and go forward. lighting other candles along the way to light up areas in case you do die these candles will stay lit which stops the scape from ever feeling fresh trading.

It’s just the right balance of satisfying challenge you feel accomplished when you make it to the end of a level and in the middle of the levels there’s a larger candle that acts as a checkpoint usually one per each. ten lines is plenty to get through these levels with trial and error and all 46 levels with trial and error and all 46 levels for the most part feel completely unique. the game never starts to drag or feel repetitive. sure I have my moments of chapters I just didn’t enjoy the mechanics of such as the last chapter easily my least favorite but every chapter here is so different and feels so magic at times that you really have no idea what this game is going to throw at you next it made me feel like I was in an old-school Disney cartoon.

Visually though this game won’t really blow you away. it’s all that holds it back from being great in the same way visuals hold back ahead in time. the world’s just don’t have that next-level feeling of a level like this can only exist in this world. I love the magic of this game Candleman APK but it just doesn’t aesthetically have its own identity which sadly will stop it from being as a matter of more than experience as it deserves to be.
