Your only method of escape is to carry your escape pods power crystal to the elevator that will in turn take you to the next level up in the labyrinth and then repeat the process with each level getting harder to complete and no option to reply or rewind your choices. you are forced to make hard choices with little information. you always start in an empty room just you and your crystal and must unlock doors to find resources and upgrades as you progress through the level.

Each door opening is like a turn which activates any turn-based research resource production and monster spawns in the map. this gives you downtime to figure out your steps and to map out your path through the labyrinth which is randomly generated and unpredictable.

Dungeon of the Endless is an incredibly challenging game and can be very discouraging for the casual gamer or anyone if you make the wrong move on the higher level dungeons as they are very unforgiving. but all that being said dungeon of the endless is a good game that pushes you to strategize and plan out each of your moves with care.
